Web forwarding is also known as a URL redirect, web redirect, 301 redirect, and other terms. What it does is point your domain name to another URL, typically for a page or site that's already been set up. To setup URL forwarding,
- Login to your account
- Click on your domain name, under advance options, click on "Modify Domain Setup",
- Here under "DNS tab
- Click on the button 'Add New DNS Record' or scroll down at the bottom and you can see 'ADD NEW DNS RECORD",
- Here in 'Type' select 'URL Forwarding' option and then set source and destination address and save it.
How to point your domain to a IP address or adding an A record ?
- Login to your account,
- Click on your domain name, under advance options, click on "Modify Domain Setup",
- Here under "DNS" tab
- click the "ADD NEW DNS RECORD" button or scroll down and you will see a "ADD NEW DNS RECORD" section and here add A record like below
First record : In type field select "A/AAAA", keep the NAME field blank, and for IPv4 field add the IP address.
Second record : In type field select "A/AAAA", add * in the NAME field and for IPv4 field add the IP address.
Third record : In type field select "A/AAAA", add www in the NAME field, and for IPv4 field add the IP address.
